JCT (Jerusalem College of Technology) – Lev is a religious male-only college in Jerusalem with a robust Beit Midrash and Jewish studies program. It is a leading academic institution in Israel, specializing in high-tech engineering, business, and health sciences.
Rabbi Simcha Herschman is the JLIC Director of JCT-Lev campus in Jerusalem along with his wife Margalit.
Rabbi Simcha is originally from West Hempstead, NY, and learned in Yeshivat Netiv Aryeh. Simcha received a BSc in electrical engineering from Tel Aviv University. He is passionate about teaching, and he loves exercising, hiking, and cooking. In his spare time, you can find him in the Old City in Yerushalayim. Margalit is the JLIC Director of Machon Lev and Machon Tal’s campuses in Jerusalem along with her husband Simcha. She is originally from Chicago where she was involved in Bnei Akiva since childhood. Margalit learned in Migdal Oz, Beit Midrash for Women and received her BSW from Bar Ilan University. She is passionate about social work, self-care, and she loves being in nature and hosting Shabbos meals.

Israelis have their own health insurance through a kupa (HMO). International students handle their health insurance on their own- most use Maccabi Foreign Health Insurance or Aim Health.

Students can also expect to spend on food, travel and other needs.
Most live either on campus or off campus, many times in the Baka area.
Student dorms are open all through the summer for international students and incur a slight charge.
Everything- shul, beit midrash, Rabbi, JLIC couple, Shabbatonim with meals, and we even have a Mikveh on campus.
We have a counseling center which helps students navigate their disabilities throughout the year.
Students interact in the dorms, cafeteria, Beit Midrash and in classes (if they transfer to Hebrew tracks after a year or two of English).
There are no issues, we have graduates working all over the world.
